Avani Mooloolaba Beach Hotel is now open, and we are looking for an exceptional Food & Beverage staff to help shape how guests connect with this exciting destination.

This hotel will transform how visitors experience Mooloolaba. Positioned just 100 metres from its pristine beach, the hotel sits where surf breaks meet the buzzing esplanade. The design will seamlessly blend contemporary with coastal, the perfect backdrop for a beach escape with a side of adventure.

We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate people to join our Food & Beverage team across our bar, hotel and events. Whether you’re a confident bartender, a coffee lover, experienced in events or someone who enjoys being an all rounder, we’re looking for people who are friendly, reliable and genuinely enjoy creating a great experience for our guests.

This is a great opportunity to join a growing team in a brand new hotel environment, with plenty of variety across day to day service, functions, events and busy weekend trade. Bartenders

- Deliver friendly, confident and efficient bar service
- Prepare classic cocktails, spirits, wine and beer to a high standard
- Maintain strong product knowledge and confidently recommend drinks to guests
- Keep the bar clean, organised and well stocked throughout service
- Follow RSA, hotel procedures and food safety standards

Baristas

- Prepare consistent, high quality coffee and other hot and cold beverages
- Operate and maintain commercial coffee equipment
- Deliver friendly and efficient service to every guest
- Keep the coffee station clean, organised and well presented
- Support the wider Food & Beverage team during busy periods

Hotel All Rounders

- Provide friendly and efficient service across the hotel’s Food & Beverage areas




- Deliver In Room Dining orders and provide professional guest service
- Assist with minibar setup, restocking and presentation
- Support the Lobby Bar and other Food & Beverage operations as required
- Work as part of the team to deliver a smooth and memorable guest experience

Events & Banquets

- Set up and prepare function spaces to event standards
- Deliver professional food and beverage service across corporate events, gala dinners and canapé functions
- Work efficiently as part of a team during busy and high volume events
- Assist with event pack down and resetting spaces
- Provide attentive service and respond to guest and event requirements

What We're Looking For

Bartenders

We’re looking for bartenders who are confident behind the bar and enjoy creating a great guest experience. You’ll have a good understanding of spirits, wine and beer, along with knowledge of classic cocktails and the ability to confidently recommend drinks to guests. You’ll be comfortable working in a busy environment, keeping your bar organised and delivering consistent service while still having a bit of fun along the way.

Baristas

We’re looking for baristas who love good coffee and take pride in what they serve. You’ll have experience making quality coffee across the usual café favourites, be confident with a commercial coffee machine and grinder, and understand the importance of consistency, presentation and speed during busy service. You’ll also be comfortable working with guests and as part of a wider Food & Beverage team, with the flexibility to jump in and help across other areas when needed.

Hotel All Rounders





Our all rounders will have the opportunity to work across a variety of Food & Beverage areas within the hotel. This could include In Room Dining, minibar, Lobby Bar and general bar service, as well as supporting the team during busy periods. We’re looking for people who are flexible, willing to learn and happy to jump in wherever they’re needed.

Events & Banquets

Our events team will work across everything from corporate functions and conferences to gala dinners, weddings, canapé events and larger hotel functions. Experience in events or banquets is preferred, but a great attitude, attention to detail and confidence working with guests are just as important. You’ll need to be comfortable working as part of a team, adapting to different events and delivering polished service from setup through to pack down.

Founded in 2020 by Kenneth Wagner, Kpat Hotels is building a portfolio of contemporary accommodation, restaurants, bars and pubs across Queensland. Each venue is shaped by its location and designed to create places local people feel proud of.
