Center West Exports is seeking a Forklift Driver with experience and the necessary licenses to join our team.

Center West Exports is a world class, processing, distribution and export business of fresh fruit and vegetables, predominately carrots, grown on our farms. We export to the Middle East and Asia.

The Role The focus of the role is to join our production team and load and unload trucks and shipping containers.

This is a fast paced hands on role and will require extensive experience driving forklifts to meet continuous deadlines for trucks and containers to arrive at the wharf on time.

Key responsibilities

- Drive a forklift
- Load and unload trucks and sea containers
- Pallet wrapping and securing loads
- Picking and packing orders using in house computer scanning system
- Checking quality and completing and receiving paperwork
- Manual lifting up to 20kg
- Meeting daily production and quality targets
- Gas filling and maintaining forklift

About you

- Must have a current LF Forklift License




- Have at least 2 years experience driving a forklift in a production environment
- Sound computer skills along with digital stock monitoring experience
- Be organized with the ability to multi task and prioritize
- Have positive attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast pace environment
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Operate forklift in accordance with all safety guidelines
- Willing to work on a rotating shift system from Mon-Fri and occasional Saturdays
- Experience working in a food production/processing environment will be an advantage
- Willing to undergo pre-employment checks including drug and alcohol screening.
- Ability to obtain National Police Clearance.
