The Old Vic, Canowindra

We’re looking for a confident, friendly Front of House team member to join us at Bessie’s Bar, our new bar and dining pop-up inside The Old Vic in Canowindra.

Bessie’s is relaxed, warm and a little bit different — good drinks, interesting wines, great food and genuinely friendly service. We’re looking for someone who enjoys hospitality and knows how to make people feel looked after without making things feel overly formal.

The role

You’ll be helping with

- Bar and table service
- Making and serving drinks
- Taking orders and running food
- Welcoming guests and creating a great atmosphere
- Keeping the bar and dining spaces looking sharp
- Helping with functions, group bookings and special events
- Working closely with our chef and FOH team

What we're looking for RSA is essential.

Cocktail-making experience is highly preferred, particularly if you’re comfortable making classics and can work confidently behind a bar.

We’d also love someone who:

- Is warm, outgoing and comfortable talking to guests
- Has previous bar, restaurant or hospitality experience




- Can work independently when needed
- Is reliable and calm when things get busy
- Takes pride in presentation and service
- Wants to help us build something great rather than simply turn up for a shift

Hours Initially casual / part-time, primarily Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with additional hours available for events and private functions.

There is potential for the role to grow as Bessie’s and The Old Vic develop.

About Bessie’s

Bessie’s is a recent bar at the historic Old Vic Hotel in Canowindra. We’re currently running it as a three-month pop-up, experimenting with drinks, food, events and opening hours as we work out what the town wants from the space.
