Sterilising Technician – CSSD Department

About the opportunity: The role is to support the CSSD department by ensuring the cleaning, sterilisation and control of surgical instruments and equipment. You will work with a team to support the peri‐operative department and help maintain a high standard of quality‐controlled processes.

Responsibilities:

n

n
- Drive quality‐controlled systems within the CSSD department.
n
- Clean and sterilise surgical instruments and equipment.
n
- Support the peri‐operative department and work effectively in a team.
n
- Maintain a working knowledge of relevant policies and procedures and apply contemporary infection control standards and practices.
n

Qualifications and Experience:

n

n
- Hold a Certificate III in Sterilising Technology or equivalent, or be willing to obtain it.
n
- Prior experience as a CSSD Technician, EN, or AIN in a healthcare facility is preferable.
n
- Ability to work flexible hours, weekends and on‐call shifts.
n




- Demonstrated understanding of infection control standards and practices.
n
- Ability to work on a casual basis.
n
