About the role
n
We're seeking a Cybercrime Analyst to join our amazing Technical Operations team. Cybercrime Analysts have an chance to make a real difference in the world by identifying threats and acting to protect governments, banks, and consumers from online attacks. You'll be a key part of the incident response team, finding innovative ways to rapidly disrupt cyber-attacks against our clients. And don't worry if you have limited experience in this area, as we can train you.

Day to day, your responsibilities will include:
n

- Cybercrime incident response – communicating analysis of cyber threats to relevant parties to mitigate attacks;
n
- Classification of malicious websites, social media profiles, apps, emails, and phone numbers;
n
- Providing clear and professional feedback to customers on incidents and classifications;
n
- Sharing your ideas on how to improve processes and workflows.

Based at our Melbourne office, but with hybrid flexibility, you'll report directly to a more senior member of the Technical Operations function and will work closely with colleagues across different teams.
n
To be successful, you'll need
n
n
- Attention to detail, adaptability, and strong intellectual and commercial curiosity;
n
- A positive and solution-focused approach;
n
- Interest in the internet and cybercrime prevention;
n
- Excellent communication skills with a high standard of written English;
n
- Ability to engage with people in a warm, helpful, and professional way;
n
- Self-motivation, ability to take initiative, and work as part of a team;
n
- Aptitude for analysing and using technical information;
n
- Competence in handling incoming phone calls;
n
- Some experience in cybersecurity is useful but not essential as full training will be provided;
n
- A degree in a relevant area, such as Computer Science or IT may be useful but isn't essential.
n

Prior experience or knowledge in cybersecurity is not required; we're more interested in your passion and willingness to grow in this field.
n
Schedule
n
Monday–Wednesday | 1:00 PM–9:00 PM,
and Saturday–Sunday | 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
n
Weekend work is required because Netcraft protects its customers 24/7, 365 days per year, which we'll discuss with you during the interview. Following the training period, a minimum of two days per week in the office will be required.
