Role Description The Front Office Manager is responsible for overseeing daily front desk operations to ensure a smooth, welcoming experience for all guests. This full time, on-site role is based at Novotel Barossa Valley Resort in Barossa, SA, and includes managing front office team members, coordinating check-in and check-out procedures, and handling guest inquiries and feedback. The role involves monitoring reservations and room allocations, maintaining accurate records, and working closely with housekeeping, sales, and food and beverage teams to optimize occupancy and guest satisfaction.
The Front Office
Manager will also implement service standards, train and coach team members, manage cash handling and reporting,
and support the resolution of guest issues in a timely, professional manner. Participation in operational planning, contributing ideas to enhance guest services, and supporting a safe, inclusive workplace are key aspects of the position.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Front Office and Customer Service skills, with experience in guest-facing hospitality roles.
- Candidates should possess Office Administration skills to manage records, reservations, reporting, and daily front desk procedures.
- Candidates should possess Customer Satisfaction skills, including the ability to handle feedback, resolve issues, and maintain service standards.
- Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills for interacting with guests, team members, and other departments.
- Previous experience in hotel front office or reception management, preferably in a resort or similar environment.
- Proficiency with hotel property management systems and basic computer applications.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team supervision, coaching, and performance monitoring.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Relevant qualifications in hospitality, tourism, business, or a related field are advantageous.
- Full working rights in Australia are required as we are not in a position to sponsor for this role at this stage.
