Are you a natural on the shop floor? Best in Beds is a growing Australian family-owned mattress and bedroom furniture retailer, and we're looking for a full-time Retail Sales Assistant to join our Warrawong store.

This is a full-time role - approximately 40 hours per week across 5 days, including most weekends - for someone who genuinely enjoys talking to customers, asking the right questions, and helping people find the right bed for their body, budget and bedroom, and who wants to be paid well for doing it. Immediate start available.

?️ About The Role

You'll be on the shop floor from a customer's first "just looking" hello, all the way through to a signed sale, delivery and follow-up.

Your responsibilities will include

- Greeting every customer warmly and building quick rapport
- Asking great questions to understand what each customer actually needs
- Demonstrating mattresses, bedframes and bedroom furniture with confidence
- Overcoming objections and closing sales - while keeping the experience genuine
- Handling POS transactions, interest-free finance applications and lay-bys
- Following up quotes, outstanding payments, customer orders and deliveries through to completion
- Keeping the showroom clean, well-merchandised and looking sharp
- Assisting with stock movement and furniture displays
- Working with the wider team across our stores on busy sale days and public holidays
- Learning our systems,



product range and policies - and staying compliant

This is an active role suited to someone who enjoys staying busy and hitting targets.

? Who We’re Looking For

You'll thrive in this role if you're either:

- An experienced retail salesperson in furniture, bedding or a similar considered-purchase category who already knows how to open, qualify, demonstrate and close - or
- A strong communicator with a real hunger to sell, who's ready to learn our approach and be coached into a top performer.

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years' retail sales experience (furniture, bedding or similar highly regarded; strong customer-facing experience in another considered-purchase category also considered for the right person)
- Confidence with cash handling and POS
- Full time availability - approx. 40 hours per week across 5 day rotating roster, including most weekends and public holidays
- Availability across weekdays, most weekends, Thursday evenings and public holidays
- Permanent right to work in Australia (citizenship or permanent residency)
