Futsal 4 life is a provider of social futsal competitions across 10 venues in Melbourne. We run mixed, men's, women's and junior futsal leagues catering to all standards of play on Sundays till Thursdays (No Fri/Saturday game days) . We have been in business for over 16 years and are considered the leading social operators, because our leagues are fun to play in and we don't tolerate angry people.

Although our services involve social sports, our expectation of our employees is of the highest level to perform the role. We are a good organisation to work with because we are professional and with a high level of detail and communication. Qualifications & experience

- The candidate must be passionate about football and futsal and has a comprehensive knowledge of the rules.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the rules means a basic understanding of football and futsal regulations.

Tasks & responsibilities

- The futsal referee involves being the game official of our social futsal competitions which take place at indoor sports venues in Melbourne.

This role requires:

- Good communication; loud and authoritative.
- Quick decision making and calm under pressure.




- Good presentation (uniform provided.)

- Always on time
- Willing to help with all that is required with set up and operating the games.
- Excellent attitude and enjoyment for the game and strong desire to provide safe and enjoyable games for our players.

- Ensure games are played in a safe manner
- Excellent conflict resolution skills required

Mandatory requirements:

- Must submit resume + cover letter, via Seek portal (only)

- Must have background in football (soccer) or futsal
- Must work for longer than a year in the role.

- Good emotional intelligence

- People management skills

- Must be able to lift 15 kgs goals
- Can work in Footscray, Fitzroy, Carlton area.
- Need to have availability to cover 3 of the 5 days of the week (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) - Not required each week.

- Shifts are Sunday (days) & Mon - Thursday & are after business hours, 5pm onwards
- Sundays are mandatory for a regular shift no exceptions if you can't work Sundays do not apply

- Must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position.

Desirable but not mandatory:

- Referee experience in either futsal or football (soccer).
