As a Gel Coat/Chopper Gun Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production and finishing of high-quality fibreglass pools and spas.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and applying gel coat to mould surfaces using a chopper gun
- Chopping and spraying fibreglass reinforcement materials onto prepared mould surfaces
- Ensuring the correct application of gel coat and fibreglass materials to meet quality standards
- Maintaining equipment and work area cleanliness to support efficient and safe production
- Collaborating with the production team to meet daily output and quality targets
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and productivity
What we're looking for
- Demonstrated experience as a Gel Coat/Chopper Gun Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in the safe and efficient use of chopper guns and other related equipment
- Ability to read and interpret production specifications and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the production team
- A positive, proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
