Envision Energy is seeking an exceptional Global Head of Grid Commercial and Compliance to lead our Grid Commercial and Compliance efforts in our Grid Technology Centre of Excellence. This global leadership role will drive Envision Energy's grid compliance strategy across wind, battery energy storage systems (BESS), hybrid renewable projects and emerging smart grid technologies. You will provide strategic technical leadership, influence international industry standards, lead complex commercial negotiations, and help position Envision as a global leader in renewable energy integration.

Working as part of Envision Energy's Global Grid Technology Centre of Excellence, you will collaborate with internationally recognised experts across engineering, product development, commercial, project delivery and executive leadership while partnering with utilities, regulators, certification bodies and customers across global markets.

The Chance

This role extends far beyond technical leadership.

You will establish and enhance Envision Energy's global grid compliance capability, developing the operational frameworks, governance systems and technical standards that support our continued growth across international markets.

As the global competence leader for Grid Technology, you will drive the development of competitive localised solutions, enable expansion into new renewable energy markets, and support the delivery of integrated Wind, BESS, Hybrid and Net Zero Industrial Park solutions.

Success in this role will be measured by your ability to influence industry direction, build strategic partnerships, deliver commercial outcomes,



and establish Envision as a recognised global leader in smart grid technologies, grid compliance and renewable energy integration.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead Envision Energy's Global Grid Compliance division, establishing best practice operational frameworks, governance and management systems for on-grid and off-grid solutions.
- Interpret and assess international grid codes, certification requirements and compliance frameworks across Australia and global markets.
- Supervise complex in-house grid compliance studies, including Steady State, RMS, EMT, Power Quality and Small Signal analysis for Wind, BESS and Hybrid renewable energy projects.
- Develop strategic technical roadmaps that support new products, technologies and future grid integration capability.
- Lead commercial negotiations relating to the grid aspects and connection agreements, compliance requirements, contracts and technical risk management.
- Develop competitive localised grid solutions to support global business expansion and Net Zero Industrial Park initiatives.
- Collaborate with utilities, transmission and distribution operators, regulators, certification bodies and industry partners to influence future grid standards and technical requirements.
- Provide strategic technical leadership across grid compliance, testing, power system analysis and renewable energy integration.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous improvement and technical excellence across global teams.
- Monitor emerging technologies, regulatory developments and market trends to ensure Envision remains at the forefront of global grid technology.

What You'll Bring

- Master's degree in Electrical Power Engineering or a related discipline; a PhD will be highly regarded.
- Extensive experience in power systems engineering, including at least 10 years leading grid compliance,



commercial negotiations or technical management within the renewable energy sector.
- Expert knowledge of power system stability, dynamic modelling, grid connection studies and international grid codes.
- Extensive experience leading grid compliance testing for Wind, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Hybrid Renewable Energy Projects and associated power system technologies.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating complex commercial agreements relating to grid connection, compliance and project delivery.
- Strong understanding of global electricity markets, regulatory frameworks and renewable energy integration requirements.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with utilities, system operators, regulators, certification bodies, customers and executive stakeholders.
- Outstanding leadership capability with experience developing high-performing, globally distributed technical teams.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and strategic influencing skills.
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary and international teams.
- Chartered Engineering status (CPEng).
- Based in Melbourne with national and international travel as required.
