Base pay: AUD $79,589.29 per year (pay is based on skills and experience).

About the Role

n

Duty Manager – you will lead the Front Office team, managing daily hotel operations in the absence of the Hotel Manager, ensuring smooth service delivery, guest satisfaction, security, and profitability.

n

Skills & Experience

n

n
- 2‐3 years in a duty manager or similar role within a branded or independent hotel.
n
- Ability to lead hotel operations independently, ensuring professional service delivery.
n
- Strong understanding of Front Office operations: rostering, guest arrivals/departures, team coordination.
n
- Experience managing hotel security, guest complaints and incident reporting.
n
- Proficiency in rate management and revenue maximisation through collaboration with key departments.
n




- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills fostering positive relationships.
n
- Promotion of hotel features and services, cultivating a strong sales culture.
n
- Commitment to high service standards and brand values.
n
- WH&S; compliance, crisis management and safeguarding hotel assets.
n

Key Accountabilities

- Lead and oversee hotel operations during shifts.
n
- Support and supervise Front Office operations, ensuring staff presentation and standards.
n
- Maintain guest satisfaction, resolving issues and promoting a welcoming culture.
n
- Monitor hotel security and safety procedures, ensuring WH&S; compliance.
n
- Drive occupancy and revenue by supporting rate‐management strategies.
n
- Communicate across departments for operational efficiency.
n
- Assist with rostering, staffing and cost control to meet targets.
n
