Job Summary
n
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Network Engineer – L1 to join our IT Infrastructure team. The successful candidate will provide first-level technical support for network-related issues, monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity problems, and assist with the installation and maintenance of network devices. This role is ideal for candidates with a solid understanding of networking fundamentals who are looking to grow their careers in network engineering.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Monitor network performance and respond to alerts.
n
- Provide first-level troubleshooting for LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN issues.
n
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
n
- Escalate complex technical issues to L2/L3 engineers when necessary.
n
- Perform routine network health checks and preventive maintenance.
n
- Support network deployments, upgrades, and hardware replacements.
n
- Document incidents, resolutions, and network changes in the ticketing system.
n
- Coordinate with vendors and onsite teams for hardware installations and repairs.
n
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and operational procedures.
n
- Maintain accurate network documentation and asset records.
n
n
Required Qualifications
n
n
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
n
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
n
- Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Fortinet, or similar networking technologies.
n
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux networking fundamentals.
n
- Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills.
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
n
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
n
n
Preferred Certifications
n
n
- CompTIA Network+
n
- Juniper JNCIA (preferred but not mandatory)
n
n
Experience
n
n
- 0–2 years of experience in network support or network operations.
n
- Fresh graduates with relevant certifications and strong networking knowledge are encouraged to apply.
n
