Role Overview

n

Support, maintain, and optimise data center infrastructure across hardware, networking, cabling, monitoring, and incident response. Duties scale by level (L1–L3) based on technical depth and ownership.

Core Responsibilities

n

L1 – Operations & Hands‐On Support

n

n
- Perform rack/stack, hardware swaps, and physical installs
n
- Complete cabling, patching, labelling, and basic troubleshooting
n
- Run health checks, monitoring alerts, and ticket triage
n
- Escort vendors and follow standard operating procedures
n

n

L2 – Technical Troubleshooting & Maintenance

n

n
- Diagnose and resolve server, storage, and network issues
n
- Perform firmware updates, configuration changes, and system maintenance
n
- Support incident response, root cause analysis, and escalations
n
- Maintain asset records, capacity data, and documentation
n

n





L3 – Advanced Engineering & Escalations

n

n
- Lead complex troubleshooting across compute, storage, network, and virtualization
n
- Optimise performance, capacity, and reliability of DC systems
n
- Drive automation, process improvement, and infrastructure upgrades
n
- Collaborate with architecture teams on design and implementation
n

n

Skills & Experience

n

n
- Experience in data center operations (L1–L3 depending on level)
n
- Solid understanding of servers, storage, networking, virtualization, cabling standards
n
- Ability to work in controlled environments and follow strict change processes
n
- Certifications (nice to have): CCNA/CCNP, Server+, Network+, ITIL, VMware, Azure/AWS
