About the Opportunity
n
Reporting to the Mechanical Workshop Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of our fleet and equipment. This is a hands‐on position suited to a qualified tradesperson who enjoys problem‐solving, working collaboratively, and delivering high‐quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Service, maintain and repair a wide range of heavy plant, equipment, and vehicles.
n
- Diagnose and rectify faults relating to diesel and petrol engines, hydraulics, transmissions and electrical systems.
n
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance activities.
n
- Assist in the ongoing improvement of fleet maintenance programs.
n
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.
n
- Support a strong safety culture and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements.
n
- Provide professional and courteous service to internal and external stakeholders.
n
- Contribute positively to team goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
n

About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will have -
n
Essential Requirements
n
n
- Trade qualification as a Plant Mechanic (Heavy Duty) or equivalent.
n
- Significant relevant industry experience.
n
- Experience working on small and heavy plant and equipment.
n
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
n
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
- White Card.
n
- Current HR Driver's Licence.
n
- Current Police Clearance.
n
- Current First Aid Certificate.
n
- Physical capability to undertake manual work.
n
n
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
n
n
- Experience maintaining graders, loaders, trucks, trailers, compactors, tractors, rollers, water carts, pumps, bores, mowing equipment, and vehicles.
n
- Knowledge of auto electrics, hydraulics and welding.
n
- HC Driver's Licence.
n
- Forklift Licence.
n
n
