- Partner directly with operational leaders across civil, infrastructure and resource projects to drive performance, culture and compliance.

- Own the delivery of end-to-end HR advisory, employee relations and workforce support for one of Australia's leading contractors.

Harry Maxwell has been engaged to recruit a Senior HR Advisor to join a People & Culture team, based in Perth. This role is central to supporting a predominantly FIFO workforce across major civil and infrastructure projects, providing practical, timely and commercially grounded HR advice to leaders and employees.
n
Working closely with site leadership, project managers and the broader P&C; team, the Senior HR Advisor will deliver high‐quality HR support across the full employee lifecycle, with a solid focus on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning and compliance.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Provide day‐to‐day HR advisory support to operational leaders across multiple project sites.
n
- Lead and support ER matters including performance management, conduct issues, grievances and workplace investigations.
n
- Interpret Awards, EBAs, policies and Fair Work requirements to ensure compliant and consistent decision‐making.
n
- Support recruitment, onboarding, medicals, mobilisations and probation processes in partnership with the mobilisation and talent teams.
n
- Partner with payroll and site administrators to ensure data accuracy,
workforce changes and compliance with employment conditions.
n
- Prepare HR reports, workforce metrics, dashboards and insights to support operational decision‐making.
n
- Contribute to policy development, process improvements and people initiatives across the business.
n
- Build strong, trusted relationships with leaders, providing coaching and guidance on people management.
n
- Support organisational change, restructures, engagement initiatives and capability uplift programs.
n
- Participate in site visits, toolbox sessions and workforce engagement activities to maintain visibility and connection with the field.

Qualifications & Experience
n
n
- Minimum 4–6 years' HR generalist experience, ideally within construction, mining, resources or project‐based environments.
n
- Demonstrated experience managing ER matters, investigations and performance processes.
n
- Strong understanding of Awards, EBAs, Fair Work legislation and employment compliance.
n
- Experience supporting blue‐collar, FIFO or site‐based workforces (highly regarded).
n
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms and reporting tools (Workday, UKG, PeopleSoft or similar).
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement capability with the confidence to coach and influence leaders.
n
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‐paced environment.
n
- Full Australian working rights and the ability to obtain a police clearance and pass pre‐employment medicals.
