Location: Sydney (Gadigal), Australia The Rugby World Cup Australia (RWCA) is proud to deliver one of the world’s most iconic sporting events — the Rugby World Cup 2027 (Men’s). Rugby World Cup Australia is seeking a creative and highly organised Graphic Designer to play a key role in the creation, production and rollout of high-quality creative assets across digital, social, print, venue branding, paid media and owned channels. Based in our Sydney office and reporting to the Senior Graphic Designer, you will work closely with the Marketing team, Rugby World Cup Australia stakeholders and World Rugby's global Brand and Marketing teams to adapt and localise tournament creative across multiple formats and specifications, ensuring brand consistency at every touchpoint. This role will support a broad range of projects, including campaign assets, website content, social media creative, event collateral, signage, accreditation materials, presentations and large format venue branding across tournament host locations.
As part of a small and agile creative team, you will work across multiple projects, manage stakeholder requests from across the organisation and help bring the tournament's visual identity to life. Working with stakeholders across all functional areas, you will deliver engaging and impactful creative solutions that connect with fans, partners, host cities and the wider rugby community. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the world's premier sporting events and play an important role in the successful delivery of a globally recognised tournament brand from planning through to execution.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Create, adapt and deliver high-quality creative assets across digital, social, CRM, PR/editorial, outdoor, paid and earned media channels, ensuring consistent application of the Men's Rugby World Cup 2027 brand.
- Work closely with World Rugby's Global Marketing, Brand and Content teams, Rugby World Cup Australia stakeholders and the wider Marketing team to execute creative projects aligned to tournament objectives and global brand standards.
- Support the rollout and localisation of tournament campaigns by producing assets in multiple formats and specifications for host cities, venues,
partners and internal stakeholders.
- Develop a broad range of tournament materials, including event branding, venue and non-match venue signage, team base assets, accreditation collateral, presentations, publications and large-format promotional materials.
- Experience in , motion graphics and animation preferred but not essential
- Maintain and uphold brand standards across all functional areas of the tournament, ensuring a consistent and skilled representation of the Rugby World Cup 2027 brand portfolio.
- Manage multiple projects and stakeholder requests simultaneously, delivering concepts, designs and assets on time, within budget and to a high standard while contributing creative ideas and solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Graphic Designer, with demonstrated experience applying and maintaining brand guidelines across multiple channels and campaigns.
- Experience within the sports industry, with rugby experience preferred/ advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro.
- Demonstrated experience creating and delivering creative assets across digital, social, print, web, event branding, marketing collateral and large-format applications.
- Strong video editing and motion graphics capabilities, with experience producing engaging content for a variety of platforms and audiences.
- Proven stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across multiple teams, stakeholders and functional areas.
- Strong understanding of brand identity systems, ensuring consistency and attention to visual detail across all marketing and creative outputs.
- Strong understanding of print production processes, including digital and print specifications, colour management, and both small and large-format printing.
- Excellent planning, organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail,
creative problem-solving abilities and the confidence to work autonomously, navigate ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities, including working flexible hours when required to support tournament and event schedules.
