Our client is a prestigious weddings and formal events business located in Melbourne’s north-west , seeking an exceptional Head Chef to work closely with the Executive Chef to lead its culinary operations and deliver outstanding dining experiences across weddings, celebrations and high-end events.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented chef who understands premium event catering, consistency, presentation and exceptional service .

The Role

As Head Chef, you will help develop the culinary offering across weddings and formal events, ensuring every menu and service reflects the highest standards.

Key responsibilities include

- Lead, mentor and develop the kitchen team.
- Create seasonal, sophisticated menus for weddings and formal events.
- Deliver consistently high-quality food for large-scale functions.
- Manage kitchen operations, preparation and service.
- Coordinate closely with Executive Chef and event managers team.
- Assist with menu tastings and customised event menus.
- Maintain exceptional food safety, hygiene and presentation standards.




- Manage kitchen staffing and performance during events.

About You We are looking for a chef with:

- Proven experience as a Head Chef, or Senior Sous Chef .
- Strong experience in weddings, events, banquets or premium catering .
- Proven ability to manage high-volume event services.
- Exceptional food presentation and menu-development skills.
- Strong leadership and team-management capabilities.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- Strong commercial and food-cost awareness.
- A calm, professional approach under pressure.
- A genuine passion for creating memorable dining experiences.

What We Offer Salary: $100,000 + superannuation
