We currently have a full time Production/QA Officer position available for our busy precast concrete panels manufacturing business based in Dandenong South.
n
The role of the Production/QA Officer is to manufacture and take responsibility for the consistent quality of the precast concrete products that are produced at our factory before delivery to sites.
n
The successful applicant will be working in the manufacturing plant office and will need to be available to work a Monday to Friday and Saturday when required of minimum 40 hours per week on salary.
n
The role requires the incumbent to contribute to the safe work environment through Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), constant checking on the condition of equipment you use, correct manual handling practices, reporting of any safety, quality or environmental issues. Daily liaison with customers, engineers and production staff, requires the successful individual to have the ability to think on their feet and solve problems in a logical sense. It is mandatory that the successful applicant have knowledge in the precast industry.

Key responsibilities of the role:
n
Responsible for all precast manufacturing
n
Adequately control of incoming reinforcement stock and consumables in line with production requirements
n
Ensure quality on the job checks to ensure compliance to customer specification and report failures to the Leading Hand
n
Take an active approach in meeting the production requirements
n
Ensure production outputs are aligned to customer requirements, meeting production and delivery schedules at all times
n
Extensive diary and email management
n
Assist with shop drawings
n
Dispatching jobs onsite
n
Manage labour levels, forecasting and acquisition
n
Develop,
implement and manage QA/QC processes to exceed the projects and client expectations
n
Daily pre / post pour checks of precast elements and mould.
n
Continuous checking of elements / components prior to reinforcement placement and after concrete pour.
n
Ensuring correct reinforcement has been placed.
n
Placing panel identification tags to all precast elements.
n (Weight / Casting date / Panel number).
n
Once stripping completed. All post pour checks to be conducted. Drawings and post pour check sheets to be completed and signed.
n
Document control of all QA documents / files / ITP / test results / delivery dockets
n
Checking of shop drawings in advance, for missing dimensions / discrepancies and components.
n
Raise report and follow up, with closing out, if and when required.
n
Conducting material take off for procurement.
n
Raising purchase orders, if and when required.
n
Aid in project support, liaising with clients and suppliers.
n
Visiting sites for site inspections, if and when required.
n

The successful candidate must have a hard work ethic and be able to maintain factory conditions to Auscast standards. You must be available for early starts or late finishes.

Usual working weeks are 40-50 hours and you will be a permanent employee on our payroll.
