The Role

n

Join Nine Mile's APAC ETF Market Making team as a Trader, based in Sydney, with a primary focus on Fixed Income ETFs across APAC and global markets.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

- Developing and executing trading strategies across fixed income ETFs.
n
- Applying advanced pricing models across fixed income ETFs.
n
- Managing interest rate and credit risk across bond ETF baskets, accounting for accrued interest, roll, and underlying bond liquidity
n
- Identifying and exploiting arbitrage opportunities between fixed income ETFs, underlying bond baskets, futures, and related derivative instruments
n
- Researching and developing new systematic trading opportunities within fixed income ETF markets
n




- Collaborating closely with the broader market-making team
n
- Designing, implementing, and enhancing algorithmic trading strategies and execution tools tailored to fixed income market microstructure
n
- Proactively engaging with regulators, issuers, exchanges, and brokers across APAC fixed income and derivatives markets
n

What You Will Bring

n

n
- 2+ years of relevant trading experience at a High-Frequency Trading or Market Making firm, ideally with exposure to ETFs or fixed income markets
n
- Solid understanding of fixed income markets, including yield curves, duration, convexity, and credit spread dynamics
n
- Knowledge of ETF mechanics, including NAV construction, creation/redemption, and tracking error dynamics
n
- Proficiency in Python
n
- Advanced capability in probability, statistics, and time series analysis
n
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
n
- A genuine passion for financial markets, particularly systematic trading in fixed income
n
- Strong academic record in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Econometrics, Computer Science, or a related discipline
n
