This is a hands‑on role requiring someone who is confident managing staff rosters, using ShiftCare, communicating regularly over the phone with staff and clients, completing participant documentation, and assisting with new client intake and onboarding.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain and update staff rosters using ShiftCare
- Allocate appropriately skilled support workers based on participant needs, preferences and staff availability
- Manage staff availability, leave, shift cancellations and last‑minute roster changes
- Contact staff by phone to fill vacant and urgent shifts
- Ensure participant shifts are adequately covered and minimise unfilled shifts
- Monitor staff clock‑in/clock‑out, attendance and punctuality
- Maintain accurate staff and participant information within ShiftCare
- Review staff progress notes and follow up where documentation has not been completed
- Communicate roster changes promptly with staff,
participants and management
- Escalate staffing shortages, repeated cancellations and attendance concerns to management
About you
- Previous experience using ShiftCare is highly desirable
- Previous rostering or scheduling experience within disability, aged care, healthcare or community services
- Experience preparing NDIS Service Agreements and Consent Forms
- Experience with client intake and participant onboarding
- Understanding of NDIS participant documentation and service delivery
- Confidence speaking with clients, families, support workers and other stakeholders over the phone
- Strong computer and administrative skills
- Solid attention to detail and record‑keeping skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
