What You Will Get To Do:
n
SS&C; is seeking expressions of interest from talented tax professionals across Associate, Senior Associate, Associate Manager and Tax Manager levels to join our growing Tax Services team.
n
In these roles,
you will support the delivery of Australian tax compliance and reporting services across a diverse portfolio of investment funds and financial services clients. Depending on your level of experience, responsibilities may include preparation, review, oversight, client management, process improvement, and team mentoring activities.
n
Working within a collaborative and fast-paced setting, you will contribute to tax compliance deliverables, operational processes, client onboarding and transitions, project initiatives, and continuous improvement activities supporting the broader Tax Services function.
n
n
- Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of tax reporting and compliance deliverables.
n
- Prepare, review, and oversee tax compliance calculations and reporting, including BAS, IAS, AIIR, investor statements, tax returns, tax distributions, withholding tax reporting, and other regulatory obligations.
n
- Support the preparation and review of trust, fund, corporate, and investor tax reporting requirements.
n
- Assist in responding to client, auditor, regulator, and stakeholder queries.
n
- Support client onboarding, transitions, restructures, and tax-related projects.
n
- Assist in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of tax policies, procedures, controls, and operating models.
n
- Participate in testing activities, template enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
n
- Ensure adherence to operational risk, compliance, and governance requirements.
n
- Mentor and support junior team members and provide technical guidance where appropriate.
n
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and client service excellence.

What You Will Bring:
n
n
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business, Taxation, or a related discipline.
n
- Experience within fund tax gained within a Big 4 accounting firm, ideally from infrastructure or real estate teams.
n
- Exposure to Australian taxation principles, including trusts, managed investment trusts (MITs/AMITs), financial instruments, investment funds, corporate tax, GST, and withholding tax obligations, is highly regarded.
n
- Understanding of fund accounting, financial reporting, and related operational risk and compliance requirements.
n
- CA, CPA, Master of Taxation Law, or equivalent professional qualification (completed, in progress, or intention to commence) is highly regarded.
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
n
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within deadlines.
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
n
- Proactive, collaborative, and customer-focused approach.
n
- Leadership, review, mentoring, and stakeholder management experience will be highly regarded for Senior Associate to Manager-level opportunities.
n
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to continuous professional development.
