Role Overview

This is a senior, market-facing appointment reporting directly to the co-founders. As Head of Lender Origination, you will grow and shape ThinkPrivate's lender panel by bringing on new funding partners: private credit funds, family offices, non-bank lenders and other capital providers active in commercial real estate credit.

You will be selling to sophisticated counterparties. Principals, heads of credit and investment committees who need to understand exactly what deal flow they will see, how it maps to their mandate, and why ThinkPrivate is a better use of their origination budget than the alternatives.

What You'll Do

- Own new lender acquisition end to end. Identify, approach, qualify and onboard private credit funds, family offices and non-bank lenders.
- Build a pipeline of target funding partners across first mortgage, second mortgage and development finance, mapped to where broker demand is strongest.
- Run senior-level conversations with principals, heads of credit and investment committees,



translating platform data into a clear commercial case.
- Onboard new lenders properly, including credit appetite accurately captured, and their team confident on the platform.
- Feed market intelligence back into the business: where appetite is shifting, where pricing is moving, and what lenders need next.

Who You Are

- Deep, current relationships across the Australian private credit market. You can name the funds, family offices and non-bank lenders active in CRE credit, and in many cases call them directly.
- Significant experience in private credit, commercial real estate finance, non-bank lending or capital markets, in a role where relationships and commercial outcomes were yours to own.
- A genuine understanding of real estate-backed credit: how a first mortgage differs from a second, how development finance facilities are structured, and how a private credit fund thinks about risk, LVR, exit and pricing.
- Credible with principals and credit committees, and comfortable holding a commercial negotiation on your own.
- Self-directed and commercially sharp. You can build a target list, work it, and report clearly on where things stand without being managed closely.
