Head of Product | Unsecured SME Lending Sydney We're partnering with a well-established Australian non-bank lender looking to appoint its first strategic Head of Product. This is a pivotal executive hire that will help shape the future direction of an established lending portfolio, bringing greater strategic thinking, commercial discipline and long-term product leadership to the business.

This role will suit someone who has spent their career building unsecured SME lending products , not simply digital experiences around lending.

If you've owned working capital, cashflow lending, merchant cash advance, revolving credit, business line of credit or similar SME lending products, this is an opportunity to influence far more than a roadmap.

You'll work directly with the CEO and executive leadership team to determine where the business should invest, how the product portfolio evolves, where customer value can be unlocked, and how Product can become a stronger driver of commercial growth.

What you'll be responsible for This is a genuine portfolio leadership role where you'll become the custodian of the business's lending products.

You'll lead decisions around

- Long-term Product strategy and portfolio direction.
- Investment priorities across the lending portfolio.
- New product opportunities and future customer propositions.
- Product pricing, commercial performance and portfolio optimisation.




- Balancing customer outcomes with lending economics, credit risk and profitability.
- Product lifecycle decisions, including where to invest, optimise, simplify or retire products.
- Executive alignment across Product, Credit, Risk, Technology, Operations and Commercial teams.
- Building stronger Product capability, governance and strategic decision-making across the organisation.

You'll likely have built your career within a non-bank lender, specialist SME lender or fintech and be comfortable discussing lending products through both a customer and commercial lens.
