About the business A well-established Australian business with an internal technology function supporting day-to-day operations and growth. The organisation is investing in stronger leadership across systems, software, infrastructure, data and technology risk.

The chance

You take ownership of the full technology remit and make it work as one function. The role carries responsibility for technology operations, business systems, software delivery, infrastructure, data platforms, vendors and technology risk, with direct exposure to the executives making the business decisions.

The environment is Microsoft-heavy across Microsoft 365, Azure, Defender and Entra ID, with PHP development, APIs and webhooks supporting the software estate. There is an established team and a broad programme of work, so the role needs someone who can set direction, make commercial calls on investment and keep delivery moving.

The role can be based in Perth or Melbourne, depending on where the successful person is located.

What you’ll own

Technology direction. Set a clear roadmap across the function, establish the priorities and make the investment case in terms the wider business can use.

Operations and platforms. Own service delivery, infrastructure, cloud, business systems and the vendor relationships that support them.

Software and data. Lead the development and data capability, connect the roadmap to business outcomes and improve how work moves from idea into delivery.

Risk and readiness. Strengthen technology risk, security readiness, governance and the controls around a growing estate.

Team leadership. Lead an established technology team, develop the leaders beneath you and create one clear standard across operations and delivery.

What you’ll bring





- Experience leading a broad technology function with responsibility across operations, systems and delivery.
- Enough technical depth to work credibly across Microsoft cloud, software development, integration, data and technology risk.
- Commercial acumen, with a track record of turning technical choices into a clear case for investment, cost, risk or growth.
- Executive presence and the judgement to give senior leaders a straight view when the roadmap or priorities need to change.
- Experience leading internal teams and external partners through a varied programme of work.

What’s on offer

- A salary of $220,000 to $260,000 plus superannuation for a permanent, full-time appointment.
