THE OPPORTUNITY

At CS Energy, Zero Harm is our highest priority. We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Business Partner to lead the transformation of health and safety across our Callide Power Station.

This is a highly influential leadership role where you will partner with operational leaders to embed a proactive, high-performing safety culture that delivers lasting behavioural change. You will provide strategic advice, operational support and expert guidance to ensure our people, contractors and leaders are equipped to achieve world-class safety performance.

Reporting to the Head of Health & Safety, you will be a trusted advisor to site leadership, driving continuous improvement and ensuring health and safety remains at the centre of everything we do.

You will

- Lead the implementation of health and safety strategies, programs and initiatives that support CS Energy's Zero Harm commitment.
- Partner with leaders to build capability, strengthen accountability and embed positive safety behaviours across the business.
- Coach and mentor leaders, employees and contractors to develop a strong, values-driven safety culture.
- Provide expert advice on health and safety legislation, risk management and industry best practice.
- Lead incident investigations, identify root causes and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented.
- Drive continuous improvement of the Health and Safety Management System, governance and compliance frameworks.
- Build solid relationships with employees, Health and Safety Representatives, union representatives, regulators and other key stakeholders.




- Support workplace relations matters where they relate to health and safety outcomes.
- Monitor performance, identify emerging risks and deliver measurable improvements in safety performance

This is a permanent, full time position at Callide Power Station.

ABOUT YOU

You are an experienced health and safety professional with a proven ability to influence senior leaders, build trust across operational teams and successfully lead cultural transformation within a complex industrial environment.

You will bring

- Extensive experience (10+ years) in a senior Health & Safety role within heavy industry, mining, manufacturing, energy or power generation.
- Demonstrated success leading organisational safety culture and behavioural safety initiatives.
- Experience implementing sustainable change management programs that deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of Queensland health and safety legislation, risk management principles and contemporary safety practices.
- Proven ability to coach, influence and engage leaders at all levels of the organisation.
- Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships, including employees, contractors, unions and regulators.
- Highly developed communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.




- The ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on operational support.

Qualifications

Essential

- Degree qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent).
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent).
- Current Queensland Driver Licence.

Highly regarded:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Health & Safety or a related discipline.
