We provide strategic decision support, underpinned by robust quantitative, financial and commercial analysis, to help our clients make critical decisions about how healthcare is delivered. The types of strategic decisions we typically support clients with include:

- Business case and feasibility studies for health care programs, projects and assets
- Financing for infrastructure investments
- Mergers and acquisition / divestment of hospital and health assets
- Collaborative partnerships between Governments and the private sector
- Service outsourcing and procurement
- Evaluation and redesign of health programs The Role

Due to continued growth, Paxon is seeking an experienced Manager or Senior Manager to join our high performing Healthcare Advisory team.





This role is suited to an established health sector advisory professional who combines deep healthcare sector expertise with strong commercial, analytical and financial modelling capability. You will lead complex client engagements, provide trusted advice to senior stakeholders and play a key role in developing the next generation of consultants within our team.

As part of our team, you will have the prospect to engage with healthcare clients and stakeholders across Australia, Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Your role will give you exposure to the complex and challenging issues at the heart of healthcare transformation and financing, including:

- Leading complex healthcare advisory engagements from scoping through to delivery
- Supporting health system leaders through complex, high-profile negotiations
- Driving effective strategic decision-making through feasibility studies and business cases that leverage your understanding of:
- Activity-based funding and funding flows in the health and aged care sector
- Healthcare activity and demand modelling
- Optimisation of cash flow, debt and funding sources
- Value engineering and cost optimisation
- Three-way financial models
- Development of public sector comparator costing
- Developing contemporary commercial contracting arrangements that consider commercial risk and payment models
- Leading health sector research, analysis and service planning activities
- Leading and/or supporting negotiations based on advocating and defending commercial positions
- Preparing high-quality reports, recommendations and presentations for senior decision-makers
- Managing and mentoring consultants and senior consultants




- Building and strengthening client relationships across the healthcare sector
- Supporting business development and growth initiatives within the Health Advisory practice.

This is the ideal role for you if you:

- Enjoy solving complex problems through a combination of quantitative analysis and critical thinking
- Have strong quantitative skills with advanced financial modelling to support business cases, feasibility studies, strategic reviews and / or major transformation initiatives
- Have significant experience within the healthcare sector, with expertise in financial modelling of activity, revenue and costs
- Have a solid understanding of the Australian healthcare system and its funding, operational and policy environment including:
- Private hospitals
- Public hospitals
- Aged care (and aged care funding and reform)
- Patient flow referral through the healthcare system
- Are confident engaging with and influencing senior executives and decision-makers to achieve results
- Have experience managing, coaching and developing high-performing teams
