Role Description In office Heavy Diesel Mechanic role based FIFO from Perth, WA.
The Heavy Diesel
Mechanic will perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy diesel equipment used in mining and construction, including engines, hydraulics, and related systems. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults,
completing scheduled servicing, conducting preventive maintenance, and assisting with emergency breakdown repairs in the field. The role involves accurate documentation of work performed, adherence to safety procedures and company policies, and effective communication with supervisors and clients regarding equipment status and repair requirements.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Diesel Mechanics knowledge and experience working with Heavy Mining Equipment.
- Candidates should possess AU/NZ Heavy Diesel Trade Certificate.
- Candidates should possess experience in Preventive Maintenance, including scheduled servicing and inspections to reduce breakdowns.
- Experience in mining and/or construction environments, with a proven focus on safety and compliance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in remote or field conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to meet site access requirements; high-risk work licenses are an advantage.
