Your new company This opportunity sits with a well-established mining operation focused on safe, sustainable and efficient production. Due to an ongoing requirement, they are seeking an experienced HST skilled to lead site-wide health, safety and training functions while supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Your new role Reporting to the site leadership team, you will be responsible for leading health, safety, emergency response and training activities across the operation.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

- Leading and promoting a strong zero-harm safety culture across site.
n
- Ensuring compliance with mining legislation, regulations and safety standards.
n
- Managing site safety systems, risk management processes and governance frameworks.
n
- Leading incident investigations and driving corrective actions.
n
- Overseeing emergency response preparedness and emergency response teams.
n
- Managing site training, competency and workforce capability programs.
n
- Leading audits, statutory reporting and regulator engagement.
n
- Developing and mentoring the Health, Safety & Training team.
n
- Working closely with operational leaders,



contractors and stakeholders to improve site performance.
n

What you'll need to succeed

n

n
- Demonstrated experience in a senior HSE, HST or Safety leadership role within mining.
n
- Strong knowledge of mining legislation, compliance and governance requirements.
n
- Proven experience leading safety management systems and risk management programs.
n
- Experience managing investigations, audits and regulator interactions.
n
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE).
n
- ICAM Lead Investigator qualification or equivalent.
n
- Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
n
- Ability to influence culture and drive continuous improvement across operations.
n
