About the role:
n
Due to ongoing business growth, we have vacancies now available for a Machinist to operate our Manual Lathe and Mil producing parts for our range of cabinets, boxes and custom sheet metal products.
n
The Job role includes, but is not limited to:
n
Operating Milling Machine and Lathe to produce parts and dress pre made components.
n
Use precision measuring equipment such as verniers, callipers and gauges to ensure product accuracy.
n
Operate high speed saw for cutting extrusion.
n
Operate Pedestal drill for tapping and drilling.
n
Liaise with other MFB departments regarding customer orders and deadlines.
n
About the Person:
n
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
n
A good understanding of manual lathe and mil operation.
n
A good understanding of High-Speed Saw and Pedestal Drill operation
n
Be able to read and interpret drawings.
n
Demonstrate experience in a mechanical workshop environment.
n
Comply to Safety and 5S standards.
n
Self-motivated, reliable, and punctual
n
Take pride in their work and area
n
Work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
n
Willing to work overtime
n
