We are seeking a Logistics Officer to join the team at Fuji SMBE Harwal Pty Ltd in Rydalmere, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the smooth operation of our warehousing, storage and distribution operations. The Logistics Officer leads and maintains the Company’s Logistics process. Work in conjunction with the other Department Heads to ensure switchboards are manufactured within the required timeframes to the Company’s quality standards.
Key responsibilities
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Providing guidance to Project Engineers regarding cargo arrivals.
Processing and verifying shipment documentation, including invoices, delivery dockets and manifests
Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring accurate stock records are maintained
Liaising with transport and delivery teams to schedule pick-ups and deliveries
Conducting quality checks on incoming and outgoing goods to ensure compliance with standards
Utilising warehouse management systems and logistics software to track shipments and manage inventory data
Collaborating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods
Identifying and reporting any discrepancies, damages or inefficiencies in the logistics process
Contributing to health and safety compliance within the warehouse environment
Supporting other team members to ensure operational targets are met
What we’re looking for
To succeed in this role, we are seeking candidates with the following skills, qualifications and experience:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification
Previous experience working in a warehouse, logistics or distribution centre environment
Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and logistics software
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
Attention to detail and accuracy in processing documentation and managing records
Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and external partners
Ability to work in a quick-paced environment and meet operational deadlines
Physical capability to handle goods and work in a warehouse setting
Knowledge of health and safety procedures and compliance requirements
Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and respond to logistical challenges
