Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to manage a portfolio of residential aged care homes and home care clients across the NSW region. In this role, you will deliver person-centred clinical assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based interventions to help our clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Key responsibilities:
n
n
- Dysphagia Management: Conduct holistic assessments, formulate individualised mealtime management plans, and recommend texture-modified diets and thickened fluids in accordance with IDDSI frameworks.
n
- Communication Support: Assess and manage speech, language, voice, and cognitive-communication disorders tailored to age-related changes and neurological conditions (e.g., Dementia, Parkinson's, Stroke).
n
- Portfolio Management: Manage a caseload across a dedicated portfolio of approx. 4-5x residential aged care / home care clients within the region.

- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner closely with care home staff, nursing teams, GPs, occupational therapists, dietitians, and family members to ensure integrated care.
n
- Education & Training: Provide practical training and education to care staff, kitchen teams,
and families regarding dysphagia awareness and safe swallowing strategies.
n
- Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely clinical notes and compliance documentation in line with Aged Care Quality Standards and NDIS/HCP guidelines (where applicable).

About you:
n
n
- Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech Pathology (or equivalent).
n
- Experience: Previous experience in aged care, adult rehabilitation, or community health is preferred (new graduates with relevant placement experience are encouraged to apply).
n
- Clinical Knowledge: Strong clinical skills in adult dysphagia and communication management, with a sound understanding of IDDSI framework standards.
n
- Mobility: Current valid Driver's License and reliable access to a registered vehicle.
n
