Located in the heart of Mildura, the hotel offers 99 guest rooms, multiple restaurants and bars, conference and function facilities, wedding venues and exceptional guest experiences. We are committed to delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining the highest operational standards.

Due to our continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Hotel Service Manager to oversee the delivery of quality hotel services and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of guest service departments.

About The Role Reporting to the General Manager, the Hotel Service Manager will coordinate and supervise the delivery of accommodation and guest services throughout the hotel. The successful applicant will work closely with departmental supervisors to ensure operational efficiency, excellent customer service and compliance with company policies and hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and supervise the daily operations of the front office, reception, reservations, housekeeping and guest services departments.
- Monitor accommodation standards, guest facilities and customer service quality, implementing improvements where required.
- Supervise, train, mentor and support hotel service staff, including rostering and performance management.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms, public areas and hotel facilities are maintained to a high standard.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest enquiries, complaints and special requests to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Develop, implement and review hotel service procedures and operational practices to improve service delivery and efficiency.
- Monitor occupancy levels and assist in maximising room utilisation and operational performance.
- Coordinate with the Food & Beverage, Conference and Events departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety legislation, hotel policies, liquor licensing requirements and relevant hospitality regulations.
- Monitor service quality, conduct regular operational inspections and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with departmental budgeting, stock control, purchasing and cost management relating to hotel service operations.
- Prepare operational reports and provide recommendations to senior management regarding service performance and operational improvements.
- Maintain effective communication between operational departments to ensure efficient hotel operations and exceptional guest experiences.

Skills And Experience The successful applicant will demonstrate:

- At least three years of relevant full-time experience in a supervisory or management role within the hotel or hospitality industry.




- Demonstrated experience coordinating hotel service operations in a medium to large accommodation establishment.
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to supervise staff, manage competing priorities and maintain high operational standards.
- Sound understanding of hotel reservation systems and hospitality operations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional guest service standards.

Qualifications Applicants should possess:

- AQF Diploma or higher qualification in Hospitality Management or a closely related discipline; or
- At least three years of relevant full-time industry experience in lieu of formal qualifications, where applicable.
