Housekeeper — Private Residence

We're seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Housekeeper to help maintain the residence to the highest standards of care, hospitality, and discretion. This is more than a housekeeping role — it's an prospect to be part of a team supporting high-profile hosted events, entertaining, and daily residence operations.
About the Role
As Housekeeper, you'll take pride of ownership over the residence's presentation and upkeep, ensuring it reflects a high level of professionalism and care. Your day-to-day will be varied and engaging, combining traditional housekeeping with hospitality, event support, and light culinary duties.
Core Responsibilities:
- Maintain the interior and exterior of the residence to a high standard of cleanliness, order, and hygiene
- Perform laundry duties — washing, ironing, starching, and minor garment repairs — while maintaining household and event linens
- Support house management by liaising with contractors, service providers, and guests
- Assist the Chef in the kitchen as needed, and serve as wait staff during hosted events
- Prepare meals for the residence occupier, their family, and guests as required
While most duties follow a standard workday, this role calls for flexibility — particularly when supporting events outside normal hours.
What You'll Bring
Eligibility
- Australian citizenship, or a current valid work permit/visa authorizing employment in Australia
Education
- Completion of Australian High School Certificate (Year 10) or international equivalent
Experience
- Minimum two years' experience in cleaning duties
- Experience serving in a restaurant or at catered events
Knowledge & Expertise
- Strong understanding of residential hygiene, cleaning, and maintenance practices
- Skilled in personal and customer service tasks, including ironing, garment mending, and packing for travel
- Basic knowledge of event setup, and food and beverage service
- Basic food preparation skills
- Familiarity with occupational health and safety standards
