Role Description The HR Support Officer will provide administrative and coordination support across a range of human resources activities, helping maintain accurate employee information, organized HR processes, and effective internal communication. This role supports day-to-day HR operations and contributes to a positive and efficient employee experience.

Key responsibilities include assisting with employee records, HR documentation, onboarding and offboarding processes, internal correspondence, and routine administrative activities. The role will help ensure HR information is accurately recorded, maintained, and updated in accordance with established procedures and organizational requirements.

The position will support recruitment coordination by assisting with job advertisements, application tracking, interview scheduling, candidate communication, document preparation, and other administrative tasks throughout the hiring process. Responsibilities may also include maintaining recruitment records and supporting HR team members with recruitment-related coordination.

The HR Support Officer may assist with employee onboarding by preparing documentation, coordinating required information, organizing induction materials, and helping new employees complete relevant administrative processes. The role may also support employee changes, leave records, internal requests, and general HR enquiries.

Additional responsibilities include preparing HR reports, updating spreadsheets and HR systems, organizing meetings, maintaining digital records, assisting with policy documentation,



and supporting HR projects and employee engagement activities. The role may involve handling confidential information and therefore requires professionalism, discretion, and careful attention to detail.

The successful candidate should be organized, approachable, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple administrative tasks. Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn different HR processes are important for working effectively with employees, managers, candidates, and internal stakeholders.

The role also provides opportunities to support improvements to HR administration, streamline routine processes, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to efficient people operations.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, or a related field.
- Understanding of basic human resources principles, employment administration, recruitment coordination, and employee support processes.
- Familiarity with HR information systems, applicant tracking systems, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar business tools.




- Strong administrative and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation, spreadsheets, and digital files.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with employees, candidates, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to handle confidential employee and recruitment information with appropriate discretion.
- Familiarity with recruitment administration, including candidate communication, interview coordination, and application tracking.
- Understanding of basic onboarding, employee lifecycle, leave administration, and HR documentation processes.
- Ability to prepare emails, reports, spreadsheets, presentations, forms, and other HR-related materials.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to organize multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Ability to follow established HR procedures, policies, and administrative guidelines accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a skilled, service-oriented approach when responding to HR enquiries.
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to identify administrative issues and seek appropriate solutions.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with HR teams, managers, and other departments.
- Strong willingness to learn Australian workplace practices, HR processes, systems, and relevant organizational procedures.
- Reliable, proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working with digital collaboration and communication tools.
