About Us Human Management Solutions is a bespoke Human Resource consultancy that provides HR and business solutions. We have been operating since 2006 and have developed a strong reputation for providing quality services and ensuring the best for our clients.
We are a small company with an office in Welshpool and staff that work mainly from home. We deliver tailored HR solutions in our focus areas of the environment, Aboriginal businesses and other Not for Profits. We support organisations and people doing good work in the community!

The role
We are seeking an experienced HR Consultant for a flexible, Perth-based hybrid role, commencing on a casual basis at approximately 10 hours per week, with potential to increase and transition to permanent part-time employment. The role supports not-for-profit clients across Australia with practical, culturally informed HR advice, Fair Work and award compliance, and industrial relations matters.
This role would ideally suit an experienced HR professional seeking flexible part-time work and the opportunity to use their broad HR, compliance and industrial relations experience in a meaningful consulting environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide generalist HR advice across the employee lifecycle.
- Interpret and apply Fair Work requirements, the National Employment Standards, modern awards and
- employment legislation.
- Support award compliance, classifications, pay rates, contracts and employment documentation.
- Advise on industrial relations,
employee relations, grievances, performance and disciplinary matters.
- Draft and review HR policies, procedures, position descriptions and related documents.
- Work respectfully with not-for-profit clients, including organisations working with Aboriginal people
- and communities.
About You You will be a confident and calm HR professional with strong judgement, explicit communication skills and the ability to work independently. Experience working with Aboriginal people, organisations and/or communities is essential.
Essential experience and skills
- HR qualifications and broad generalist HR experience.
- Strong Fair Work, NES and contemporary award knowledge.
- Experience in award interpretation and compliance, employee relations and industrial relations matters.
- Ability to prepare clear, compliant and professional HR documentation.
- Respectful, culturally informed experience working with Aboriginal people
