We are seeking an experienced Identity Engineer to join a large enterprise identity team on a 6-month contract based in Sydney. This is a hands-on operational role with a strong design and continuous improvement component.

You will be embedded within a complex, multi-workplace identity platform, working closely with internal stakeholders to translate requirements into practical identity solutions aligned to Zero Trust principles and modern authentication standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and govern conditional access policies, authentication methods, and PassKeys including Windows Hello for Business and Mac PSSO
- Onboard applications to Entra ID SSO including SAML, OAuth, OIDC integrations, APIs, AI Agents, and Managed Identities
- Configure and manage SCIM user provisioning for new and existing integrations
- Set up Identity Governance Catalogs and Packages for user-requestable access and direct assignment
- Review changes and assess change impact across in-scope identity systems and applications
- Develop and review runsheets and build guides, gain CAB approval, and conduct post-implementation reviews




- Deploy changes to production as per implementation plans including break-fix and break-restore changes
- Complete service requests raised against identity systems including audit and compliance reporting
- Produce weekly incident and service request reports
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for new and updated services
- Remediate vulnerabilities identified through Tenable scans, penetration testing, and red teaming activities

Skills and Experience

- Strong hands-on experience with Entra ID, Entra Connect Sync, and Active Directory in enterprise environments
- Demonstrated experience with modern authentication protocols: SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC
- Solid understanding of Zero Trust principles and modern identity security patterns
- Experience with Identity Governance platforms and access lifecycle management
- Familiarity with PAM platforms and privileged access controls
- Experience with ITSM and change management processes including CAB
