Centre Director | Mighty Me Early Learning Centre

Sefton, Sydney NSW | Full-time | Highly Competitive Salary

A beautiful centre. A remarkable team. The freedom to lead it.

Mighty Me Early Learning Centre is looking for an exceptional Centre Director to lead our boutique 28-place service in Sefton.

Mighty Me was founded by a husband-and-wife team with professional backgrounds in medicine and paediatric speech pathology, and a shared belief that the first five years of a child's life deserve extraordinary care, education and investment.

We have created something special: a beautifully renovated, intimate early learning environment with excellent resources, a strong team and a genuine commitment to quality.

We're now looking for a Director who wants to make it their own.

The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to lead a boutique 28-place centre with the resources of a much larger organisation, while retaining the warmth and relationships of a small service.

You’ll know every child.

You’ll know every family.

You’ll know your educators - their strengths, their ambitions and where you can help them grow.

And you’ll have the autonomy, budget and support to turn great ideas into reality.

As Centre Director, you’ll have genuine ownership of the culture, educational quality and day-to-day leadership of Mighty Me.

You’ll work directly with engaged Approved Providers who value expertise, move quickly on good ideas and believe that exceptional early education requires exceptional investment in its people.

What Makes Mighty Me Special?

28 Places. By Design.

It allows us to build genuine relationships, maintain exceptional standards and create the kind of community where children, families and educators feel known.

A Beautiful Place to Work

Our Sefton centre has been thoughtfully and extensively renovated, creating beautiful indoor and outdoor environments designed for learning, exploration and connection.

We believe the workplace our educators work in matters too.

A Serious Investment in Quality

Quality isn't expected on a shoestring.

You’ll have strong operational, educational and resource budgets and direct access to decision-makers when you see an opportunity to make the centre better.

Professional Development With Purpose

Learning is part of the culture at Mighty Me.

We invest meaningfully in professional development, external training, conferences and leadership development - for you and the educators you lead.

Something Genuinely Different

With foundations in medicine and paediatric speech pathology,

Mighty Me brings a unique perspective to early childhood education.

Our educational approach is informed by contemporary research, with a solid focus on exceptional learning experiences, meaningful educator-child interactions and nurturing children's curiosity, confidence and love of learning.

Our educators also benefit from access to professional expertise and learning opportunities rarely integrated into an early learning service.

Leadership With Influence

You won’t be several layers removed from the people making decisions.

You’ll work directly with the owners, have a genuine voice in the direction of the service and be trusted to exercise your professional judgement.

Your ideas won’t disappear into an inbox.

What You’ll Lead

You’ll take overall leadership of the Sefton service, including:

Inspiring, mentoring and developing a high-performing team.

Building a culture where excellent educators want to stay and grow.

Creating an exceptional experience for children and families.

Driving educational quality and meaningful continuous improvement.

Maintaining excellent NQF, NQS, EYLF and regulatory standards.

Leading staffing, rostering, enrolments, budgets and centre operations.

Building strong relationships with families and the local community.

Supporting professional development and emerging leaders within your team.

Working directly with the Approved Providers on the continued development of Mighty Me.

We want you to bring your experience to the role — not simply inherit someone else’s way of doing things.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is excellent with people and serious about quality.

A leader who can set high expectations while creating a workplace people genuinely enjoy being part of.

Someone educators respect, families trust and children are delighted to see.

You’ll bring solid early childhood leadership experience, sound knowledge of the NQF, NQS and EYLF, excellent organisational skills and an ACECQA-approved qualification.

You’ll also hold the required NSW Working With Children Check, First Aid and Child Protection qualifications.

But we’re interested in more than what's written on your CV.

We’re interested in how you lead, what you believe outstanding early education looks like, and what you could build with the right support behind you.

Build Something You’re Proud Of

For the right person, this isn’t simply another Centre Director role.

It’s the opportunity to lead a beautiful boutique service with real autonomy, excellent resources, significant investment in your development and owners who genuinely care about what you’re trying to achieve.

We want you to come to work excited about your centre.

To build a team you’re proud to lead.

To know your families.

To watch your educators grow.

And, years from now, to be able to look at Mighty Me and know:

I helped build this.

We’d love to hear from you.
