A well-established construction/interiors company is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their finance team on a temporary basis, covering annual leave from 1 August to 2 September (with the option to start a day earlier the week prior for a handover).

About the Role

This is a hands-on payroll position responsible for processing weekly payroll for approximately 150 employees within the construction industry. Experience with CFMEU/EBA payroll is highly preferred, given the volume of union-based allowances involved.

Key Responsibilities
n

- Process weekly payroll for approximately 150 employees
n
- Manage CFMEU/EBA payroll, including union rate-based allowances
n
- Process payroll using MYOB
n
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding
n
- Process weekly superannuation (if working Fridays)
n
n
When
n
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (Friday desirable but not essential)
n
5-week duration: 5th August - 4th September
n
About You
n
n
- Proven payroll experience, ideally within construction or another award/EBA-driven industry
n
- CFMEU/EBA payroll experience highly regarded
n
- Comfortable working within a small, collaborative finance team
n
- Resilient and adaptable - this is a construction setting, so a thick skin is helpful
n
