The firm and team

This is a well-regarded Life Insurance, Superannuation and Financial Advice team within a specialist commercial firm with offices across Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. The firm acts for a broad client base including government agencies, banks, insurance companies, and private employers, and has built a strong reputation in defendant insurance work over many years. The team is high performing, close-knit, and has a genuine track record of developing lawyers at the junior end of the market.

The role

n

Working closely with partners and senior associates, you will take ownership of a range of litigation and advisory matters including:

n

n
- Defendant life insurance litigation across a variety of complex matters
n
- Advice work for insurer and superannuation fund clients
n
- Regular direct client contact and relationship management
n
- Appearances in courts and tribunals across Victoria
n

n

This is a role with genuine responsibility from early on.



You will not be sitting on the periphery of matters.

n

What we are looking for

n

n
- 1 to 3 years PAE, with a background in defendant insurance, workers compensation, personal injury, or commercial litigation
n
- Admitted in Victoria with a current practising certificate
n
- Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
n
- Someone who takes ownership of their work and is comfortable in a client-facing role
n
