An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a leading higher education organisation in Sydney. Initially offered as a contract with a genuine pathway to permanency, this role provides the chance to partner with senior stakeholders while contributing to a complex and purpose-driven organisation.

The Role

n

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will act as a trusted business partner to a portfolio of faculties and business units, providing financial insight to support strategic decision-making. You'll work closely with stakeholders to deliver budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis while identifying opportunities to improve financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Partner with senior stakeholders across faculties and business units
n
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
n
- Deliver monthly management reporting and variance analysis
n
- Provide commercial and strategic financial advice to support decision-making
n
- Analyse financial performance and identify risks and opportunities
n
- Build strong relationships with non-finance stakeholders
n




- Drive continuous improvements across reporting and financial processes
n

About the Candidate

n

n
- Proven experience in a Finance Business Partner or Management Accountant role
n
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
n
- Solid experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
n
- Commercial mindset with the ability to influence decision-making
n
- Experience within higher education or another large, complex organisation will be highly regarded
n
- Proactive, collaborative, and able to work autonomously
n
