Data Engineer / BI & Applications Specialist (Contract) – Melbourne (Hybrid)

Looking for a hands‐on Data & BI specialist who enjoys working across reporting, data engineering, and application support in a fast‐paced environment.

We're supporting a leading organisation with a contract opportunity (6–8 months) covering a key role across data, reporting, and business‐critical applications.

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Build and optimise Power BI & SSRS reports to support business insights
n
- Work with SQL Server & GCP to map and manage data pipelines
n
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and improve processes
n
- Support UAT, releases, and documentation to ensure smooth delivery
n




- Versatile to support and do occasional On Call support out of business hours
n

n

What we're looking for

n

n
- 1–5 years' experience in Data / BI / Application Support roles
n
- Strong SQL + Power BI (SSRS ideal)
n
- Exposure to GCP or cloud data environments
n
- Experience in production support / incident management
n
- Strong communication skills – able to bridge business & tech
n
