Reporting to the Head of Investments, the role takes on day-to-day administrative support and management of the portfolio, with a path to growing into an investment management role over time for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities
- Run the morning summary of portfolio announcements and corporate actions, and the end-of-day brief
- Manage daily trades — execution, allocations, custodial settlement and broker liaison
- Build and run comparable asset/company comp screens to support the portfolio
- Process corporate actions — IPOs, placements, etc
- Review term sheets and IMs for investment proposals
- Liaise directly with the Finance team on reporting, accounting and tax support
- Be the interface to Finance on holdings data, cost base and corporate actions
- Support weekly, monthly, annual and Board reporting
- Deal support on direct investments (private/credit) including transaction management, structuring and legal coordination
- Support portfolio companies on governance,
transactions and strategic initiatives
About you
- A clear working understanding of institutional-level equities management — trade execution, custodial administration and corporate actions management
- 1–5 years' experience in corporate finance, equities brokerage or funds management
- Robust Excel acumen and a high level of comfort with data
- Discretion handling confidential private family information
- Australian permanent residency or citizenship
- Exposure to mining and natural resources (desirable)
- S&P; Capital IQ and Visible Alpha (desirable)
- Relevant degree, or progress toward CFA (desirable)
- Practical fluency with AI tools (desirable)
