At MANAWISE Care, we're expanding our Residential Care services across Brisbane's Southside and are seeking dedicated and compassionate Youth Workers to join our team in permanent part-time roles.

About the Role
n
You will be working across our Brisbane Southside residential homes, currently located in Algester and Runcorn with exciting opportunities to support new homes as MANAWISE continues to grow and expand.
n
As a Youth Worker, you'll support young people facing complex challenges by providing a safe, stable, and nurturing environment. You'll play a key role in helping them build resilience, develop life skills, and create brighter futures.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Create a safe, stable, and supportive home environment for young people with complex needs.
n
- Build positive and professional relationships that foster trust, connection, and growth.
n
- Support young people through challenging behaviours and emotionally difficult situations.
n
- Apply trauma-informed practices to promote wellbeing, resilience, and positive outcomes.
n
- Encourage independence by helping young people develop practical life and social skills.
n
- Respond calmly and confidently to incidents, conflict, and crisis situations.
n
- Work collaboratively with the broader care team to implement individualised support plans.
n
- Maintain accurate and professional documentation, including case notes and incident reports.
n
- Model positive behaviours, healthy boundaries, and effective communication at all times.
n
- Contribute to a strong team culture through teamwork, reflection, and ongoing learning.
n
- Experience in Youth Work, Child Safety, or a related field
n
- Current, unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence (open class)
n
- Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention, or similar (or working towards it)
n
- First Aid & CPR certification
n
- Current Paid Blue Card
n
- National Police Check (within 6 months)
n
- Ability to obtain LCS check
n
- Hope & Healing Module certificate (we can assist if needed)
n
