JD - Scope of Work / Key Responsibilities

1. Integration & ETL Development

n

n
- Design, build, and optimise integrations using the Workato platform (REST/SOAP APIs, file-based, database, SFTP, and application connectors).
n
- Develop complex ETL workflows including data transformations, data validation, error handling, and logging.
n
- Ensure integrations follow best practices for scalability, security, and performance.
n
- Build reusable components, connectors, and recipe templates where appropriate.
n
- Work closely with Business Analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical designs.
n
- Work with Solution Designers and architects to align with enterprise integration patterns and standards.
n
- Collaborate with business teams to clarify data mapping, logic, and transformations.
n
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog grooming, estimation sessions, and sprint planning.
n

3. Project Lifecycle Participation

n

n
- Contribute to all project phases including requirements, design, build, testing, deployment, and transition.
n
- Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect resolution.
n
- Provide hypercare support post-go-live.
n

n

4. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

n

n
- Prepare technical design documents, data mapping documents, integration specifications, and support guides.
n
- Document Workato recipes, environment configurations, and operational instructions.
n




- Support handover to BAU teams including walkthroughs, training, and support knowledge transfer sessions.
n

n

5. Operational Support

n

n
- Provide troubleshooting support during development, testing, and early life support.
n
- Ensure monitoring, alerting, and logging mechanisms are implemented for all integrations.
n
- Assist in defining operational runbooks and ensuring integrations are production-ready.
n

n

Required Skills & Experience

n

n
- Proven hands-on experience designing and developing integrations and ETL processes using the Workato platform.
n
- Strong understanding of file-based and API integrations, authentication methods, and common data formats (JSON, XML, CSV).
n
- Experience with cloud enterprise applications (e.g., Workday, ServiceNow) is an advantage.
n
- Solid analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
n
- Experience working in enterprise project environments with cross-functional teams.
n
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
n
- Experience using GitHub (or similar) for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation across environments.
n
- Workato integration recipes, ETL workflows, supporting scripts, and connectors.
n
- Technical design documentation and mapping specifications.
n
- Test support, defect fixes, and UAT assistance.
n
- Deployment readiness tasks and BAU handover packs.
n
- Knowledge transfer to internal support teams.
n
