Accountant / Intermediate Accountant - Business Services

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth within our Accounting & Taxation Services division, we are seeking a motivated and client-focused Intermediate Accountant to join our South Melbourne office.

This role offers the prospect to manage your own portfolio of clients while developing your technical expertise across accounting, taxation, and SMSF compliance.

As an Intermediate Accountant you will:

- Manage assigned jobs and client relationships effectively
- Deliver high-quality accounting, taxation, and compliance services
- Prepare compliance work for individuals, companies, partnerships, trusts, and SMSFs
- Review work completed by junior accountants and assist with training and mentoring
- Liaise with external parties on behalf of clients where required
- Work efficiently to achieve deadlines and performance targets
- Assist Directors and Managers with projects and ad hoc tasks





About You

To be successful in this role, you will be motivated, commercially minded, and eager to continue developing your technical and leadership capabilities.

Skills & Experience

- 2-4 years' experience within a professional accounting firm
- Commerce or Accounting degree
- CA or CPA qualified, or currently studying towards qualification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and robust organisational skills
- Ability to learn recent systems and technology quickly
- Resilient, proactive, and team-oriented approach
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior staff
- Advanced skills in Excel, Xero, MYOB, and Handisoft
- Experience using Class Super will be highly regarded
- Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship required
