Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced male disability support worker to join our team at JC Care in Sandringham VIC. As a casual Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing personalised care and support to our lovely participants, at a 1:1 support ratio. The role will involve mostly assistance with self care, transport, and a potential of weekend community access

2 hours of morning prep assistance (self care). Tuesday 7:30 am - 9:30 am

2 hours of morning prep assistance (self care). Thursday 7:30 am - 9:30 am

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Assisting participants with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
n
- Accompanying and supporting participants to access community services, social and recreational activities
n
- Developing and implementing individualised support plans to meet each participant's unique needs and goals
n
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation to ensure the highest standards of care
n
- Collaborating with the broader care team to coordinate seamless service delivery
n

What we're looking for

n

n
- A Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or a related field
n




- Demonstrated experience in providing person-centred care and support to individuals with a range of disabilities
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with participants
n
- A compassionate, patient and flexible approach to ensure the best possible outcomes for our participants
n
- A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (desirable)
n
- An understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practices
n
