About the role
We are seeking a Technical Assistant/ Patient Services to join our long standing and experienced team at Wide Bay Nuclear Medicine in beautiful Hervey Bay, part of the Carlisle Health Group.

As a valued member of our imaging team, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Assisting with X-ray, PET/CT and other imaging examinations, while providing high-quality patient care.
Preparing patients for their examinations and ensuring their comfort throughout the imaging process.
Creating a great first impression when greeting patients/referring doctors/other industry associates bothface to face and over the telephone.
Be the first point of contact for patients, providing a welcoming and professional experience.
Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple imaging modalities.
Register patients accurately and verify referral and billing details.
Processing Medicare billing, payments, and performing end-of-day banking.
Entering patients and referrerdetails accurately and in a timely manner.
Ensuring work flow is conducted in a correct and timely manner.
Supporting clinical staff with procedures and day-to-day clinic operations.
Collaborating with clerical staff, Radiographers and Radiologists to deliver a seamless patient experience.
Background and experience
Cannulation experience (desirable but not essential)
Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Experience with patient records, bookings, or basic computer systems can be advantageous.
Experience working in a fast-paced clinical environment, including managing multiple tasks and priorities.
Previous experience assisting radiographers or other medical imaging staff is an advantage, but may not always be essential for entry-level positions.
Strong attention to detail, technical competence, and a patient centered approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
