We are seeking a Brisbane or Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast-based Regulatory Breach Specialist with a Law degree to lead incident investigations and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex incident investigations, ensuring findings are accurate, well-evidenced, and clearly documented. Provide guidance and technical expertise to junior analysts on investigation methodology and significance assessments.
- Monitor, interpret, and advise on changes to legislation and guidance relating to breach reporting
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or risks in breach reporting and incident assessment processes, recommending enhancements.
- Contribute to the development, review, and maintenance of breach management policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Prepare high-quality submissions for relevant committees, management, and regulators.
- Coach and mentor breach analysts to build capability in legal and regulatory analysis, investigation skills,
and report writing.
What We Need
Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Law or similar specialisation. Location: Must be based in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast. Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of relevant financial services regulation and breach assessment. Skills: Exceptional written communication, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple matters in a rapid-paced environment. Preferred: Experience in financial services, superannuation, direct regulator liaison, and GRC tools.
