We are looking for a practical, mechanically minded General Technician – Field, Workshop & Sales Support to join our team.

Our business primarily supplies diggers, earthmoving equipment and machinery, along with a range of plant equipment and food trailers.

This is a varied, hands‑on role combining workshop work, field service, customer repairs and sales support.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

- Pre-delivery inspections and commissioning of new diggers, machinery and equipment
- Mechanical assembly, servicing, adjustments and repairs
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and operational faults
- Attending customers’ businesses and worksites to diagnose and repair machinery and equipment
- Completing field-service and warranty repairs
- Quality‑control checks prior to customer delivery
- Preparing machinery, plant and food trailers for delivery or collection
- Supporting the Sales Manager with showroom and equipment presentation
- Assisting with customer demonstrations, inspections and handovers
- Providing practical and technical support to the sales team
- Completing sales deliveries to customers where required
- Assisting with container unloading, loading and equipment movements
- Local and interstate travel when required

About You





We’re looking for someone who:

- Has strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
- Has experience with earthmoving equipment, machinery, plant, automotive or similar
- Is confident diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
- Can work independently in the workshop and at customer sites
- Is comfortable dealing directly with customers
- Takes pride in their workmanship and attention to detail
- Is reliable, organised and safety focused
- Is willing to travel when required

Experience with diggers, loaders, earthmoving machinery, hydraulics, diesel equipment, plant or food trailers would be highly regarded.

The Position

- Full time – 40 hours per week
- 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday
- Varied workshop, field‑service and sales‑support position
- Work across a broad range of machinery and equipment

We’re looking for someone who can identify a problem, diagnose the issue and get the job completed properly, while representing the business professionally with our customers.
