We're seeking a casual Optical Assistant / Optical Dispenser who enjoys variety, values flexibility, and is looking to join a supportive independent practice. With immediate shifts available and the opportunity for ongoing regular work, this is an excellent opportunity to become part of a small team where your contribution is genuinely valued.

As a single Optometrist practice, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with patients, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is confident supporting the day-to-day flow of the practice alongside the Optometrist.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on role combining patient care, reception, and optical dispensing support.

n

You'll enjoy building genuine relationships with patients while helping create a smooth, welcoming, and organised experience throughout the day.

Your responsibilities may include:

n

- Optical dispensing and frame styling
n
- Supporting patients with lens selections and adjustments
n
- Managing appointments,



recalls, and administration
n
- Working closely alongside the Optometrist
n
- Assisting with the day-to‐day flow of the practice
n
- Creating a calm, welcoming, and professional patient experience
n

About You

n

We're looking for someone who is warm, organised, proactive, and enjoys being part of a close‐knit team.

Ideally, you'll bring:

n

- Optical dispensing or Optical Assistant experience
n
- A friendly and qualified communication style
n
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
n
- Confidence managing competing priorities
n
- Experience with Optomate Touch (desirable)
n
- A genuine passion for patient care and independent optometry
n
